Shaunie O’Neal has spoken and not all the ladies will be returning to Basketball Wives Season 8 which is set to air sometime this year.

Both Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman have decided to make big announcements to their fans via social media. So after all the fights and the drama, who is in, and who is out?

It will not surprise many to discover that Evelyn, who is closer to Shaunie more than ever, has confirmed that she is part of the cast.

As for Tami, who did a few interviews like Jennifer Williams and made a few non-diplomatic statements about Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife — she seems to be out the door.

Jennifer has not yet addressed the matter, but many believe she is also exiting the reality series.

Tami has already turned the page and is focused on her acting career. She is starring in the BET series, Carl Weber’s The Family Business, and the TV movie, Fall Girls.

In a new interview with ET, she explained: “[Director] Chris Stokes felt that I could play this role, and so he contacted my agent and said, ‘We’d like to make the offer,’ and I said, ‘Absolutely,'” she recalled. “I never had the chance to pay this type of role. Without giving away too much … why you don’t see a lot of me in the trailer is because I am the twist to the entire movie.”

She added: “Linda plays the boss’ partner. So when these young ladies think that they’ve killed their boss, Linda has an ulterior motive in actually making that come to fruition. It’s a little Weekend at Bernie’s with a little Girls Trip.”

Tami also spoke about Basketball Wives and had a few kinder words this time around.

She stated: “You know, what? I actually loved doing Basketball Wives. And I think because the course of everybody’s life we all start taking different turns and you realize certain relationships are going to work out. I think I’m at a place right now where it’s about protecting my energy and my space and my zen.”

She went on to say: “So even within the Basketball Wives world, if I go back, certain changes would have to be made for me to be comfortable in that environment. But we’re still in talks. I don’t necessarily know if I’ll return, but we are talking about how everyone can be comfortable in that environment.”

Tami has also confessed that she has not spoken to Evelyn since the wrapping of the show.

She confessed: “We didn’t speak before [the reunion] taping. We typically don’t speak after. I think both of us owe ourselves a greater service — not allowing me to come into her space, and her not coming into mine. Just respecting boundaries.”

The franchise will probably find a way to remain relevant.
