Reflecting on the career journey of Antawn Jamison, he started playing basketball professionally after being selected by Toronto Raptors in the 1998 NBA draft.

He started playing professionally from the Raptors but soon he was traded to Golden State Warriors in exchange for Vince Carter.

After playing around 5 years from the Warriors he was traded to Dallas Mavericks. Then he started to play for Mavericks and became the NBA’s Sixth Man of the year in 2004. At the end of the season, he was traded to Washington Wizards 2004.

In 2006, he also played for the US national team in the 2006 FIBA World Championship winning a bronze medal.

On 20 June 2008, he signed a four-year contract with the Wizards for $50 million but he was traded to Cleveland Cavaliers on 17 February 2010. While he was playing against the 76ers, he was fouled and broke his pinky for which he went through surgery.

On 25 July 2012, Jamison signed a year contract with Los Angeles Lakers and after his tenure got over he joined Los Angeles Clippers on 28 August 2013. He was traded to Atlanta Hawks on 20 February 2014 but he was waved goodbye the very next day.

In October 2014, he retired from NBA and became a broadcaster for Time Warner Cable SportsNet as a TV analyst for Lakers.
